Breaking news out of the Nevada Supreme Court in the Little Valley Fire case: “Come back later.”
After full briefing, and oral argument, the unanimous Court decided to deny the State’s writ petition without addressing its merits. Thus, the Little Valley Fire will proceed back to the district court for full litigation.
The result will be that the record will be more fully developed in the district court, and the matter will likely return to the Nevada Supreme Court on appeal – unless the parties work out a universal settlement.
